Group walk: We provide scheduled group walks for dogs who need to get out in the afternoon. We know dog owners often are working extra long hours these days as the demands of a tough economy require more of their time. If you head out early, get back late, or both, rest assured that your dog will be cared for in the afternoon. We ensure that dogs are happy, exercised, and socialized without requiring you to rush home or rush to get them out. Group walks are at least 30 minutes long, not counting the time to pick-up or drop off the group of walking buddies. $15.
Individual walk: Whether your dog doesn't play well with others or just needs a little more individual attention (like puppies), our individual walks are perfect. We schedule extra time to feed your doggie, if necessary, and to get him or her fitted in outdoor gear when requested. Each dog will enjoy a 30 minute walk, tailored just to him or her. The individual walk lets your dog enjoy his or her accustomed neighborhood or explore new places, whichever you and your dog prefer. Again, the 30 minutes is the time they spend outside, not the time eating or getting ready. $20.
Extended walk: Is your doggie a little high strung? Does he or she just need more exercise than you expected? Our extended walk is perfect. We can't promise to wear them out, but we'll do our best. The extended walk is perfect for trips to the park, or just a long stroll through the neighborhood. Your dog will get the exercise he or she needs, even if you don't always have the time to get him or her out as you'd like. This is a great addition, maybe once a week, to your dog's regular daily group walks or individual walks. The sessions vary depending on your need. Extended walks start at 1 hour but can go longer as needed. $30 for 1 hour.
Vacation pet sitting: If, like me, you have large dogs, you know it can be difficult to travel, especially if you're flying. City Dog Sitting aims to provide the travel solution you need. Rest assured, we'll make sure your dogs are taken care of. Our vacation sitting includes a morning and evening individual walk, ensuring that your dog gets all the individual attention he or she needs. Food, daily supplements, or special meals: we take care of it all. In addition to feeding your dog and preparing him or her for the walks, all of which is included in our individual walk, with our vacation sitting we spend an extra 15+ minutes just hanging with your dog. Some dogs like the extra time to play or just get a little belly rub while you're out of town. And, of course, we'll keep an eye on your house too, including feeding your other family pets and taking in your mail. $49 per day.
Vacation pet sitting with overnight stay: This title pretty much says it all. If your dog or puppy is not used to being alone for extended periods of time, he or she can get a little rambunctious. Why leave your dog alone at night, if he or she is so accustomed to having someone there? With all the services of our vacation pet sitting, this option also includes an overnight stay of 8+ hours. Ensure your dog maintains the routine he or she has adapted to. We hang out and play with your doggie as long as is needed in the evening, leaving him or her home alone only during the day, maintaining the accustomed schedule. As an added bonus, we're there to keep an eye on your house too. $69 + a small dinner allowance for our dog sitter.
Like any supermodel, your dog will have a professional photography shoot. Let us capture some great images of your doggie. You know your dog is the cutest dog ever; now prove it to everyone with our professional photography. This can be either a simple additional item to one of our extended walks or a custom photo shoot with you, your dog, and maybe even other family members playing with your beloved friend at your home. Our photography shoots are tailored to your needs and can include an assortment of various products from web galleries to custom framed prints. $150 and up.
City Dog Sitting can provide basic dog training. We have a fair amount of dog training experience, and have learned from both taking training classes and the experience of working with our own dogs. We don't claim to be professional dog trainers, behavior specialists, or the dog whisperer; however we do have the experience necessary to reinforce your basic training, including routine practice of commands like "sit," "stay," "come," "heel," etc. We can train your dog during any of our extended walks. At either an isolated park or your home, we spend the time needed with your dog to reinforcing your basic training. When you request this service, we also like to meet with you periodically to show you the commands and make sure that he or she is behaving and receiving the consistency needed to make training work. Free, upon request, with our extended walks.
We can provide in-home dog bathing. Do you ever have those hectic weeks where there's just no time? Maybe you just don't have the energy to fight with your dog during the small amount of precious time you have to spend together? Let us help you. We do dog washing where your dog is the most comfortable, right in your own home. As an added bonus, we bring everything we need and clean up before we leave so you don't have to worry about stocking a bathroom full of dog supplies. Best of all, you can come home to the smell of clean dog. Our dog bathing service can be added to any of our walks or dog sitting. $15 to 35.
We are not a doggie limo service, but we can help you get around the city with your dog. Until the MTA changes the subway law, large dog owners seem stuck in their neighborhoods. From time to time, it's nice to get away for an outing to Central Park or Fort Washington Park. Maybe your dog needs to get to the vet, but you just can't seem to work your schedule around the vet's hours. We can help. We also provide a walking service to and from your dog's local day care. Starting at $15.
